Software Quality Analyst

Amphion is looking for a bright, energetic, motivated, and team-oriented Software Quality Analyst interested in helping us create high-quality software solutions. You will be working in a challenging, fast-paced environment with multiple roles and a variety of responsibilities. You will help Amphion deliver to the industry the next generation medical coding and transcription platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing software quality assurance/testing for Amphion’s Medical Transcription and Coding software products, including managing incoming bug reports and creating bug reports for issues discovered during testing. You will work closely with the development and operations teams to ensure that the resulting products form complete, high-quality, high-availability solutions. The candidate will also help implement, test, and release Amphion’s next generation products by following Amphion’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology and other SQA and Development Policies and Procedures.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Develops comprehensive manual test plans for functional, load, and integration tests.
  • Maintains the Traceability Matrix from Requirements to Test Cases.
  • Follows established SQA, standards, best practices and guidelines.
  • Reviews project requirements and design before developing Test Plans. Understands what is being created and identifies any risks and/or design flaws before writing plans.
  • Write High Quality Bug reports to create an efficient Development to Software Quality Assurance cycle.
  • Works with Development Team to develop a test and release cycle, learning and helping to develop a comprehensive release strategy.
  • Develops repeatable automated regression tests using test automation tool.
  • Ensures compliance with confidentiality policies and procedures, HIPAA requirements and system security policies and procedures.
  • Establishes personal and professional growth goals:  training sessions, conferences, books/articles, webinars, professional organizations, ask questions, use and review new concepts/technologies.
  • Establishes professional, positive working relationships with team members as well other subject matter experts on the Amphion team.

The QA Specialist is a skilled, high-quality inpatient coding professional who also possesses leadership capabilities. Experience with reviewing and coding more complex client cases and outpatient cases is a plus! Work from the convenience of your own home, full- or part-time.

• Reviews work of new coders until 95% accuracy standard is met.
• Performs ongoing quality reviews on coding staff.

We’re looking for someone who is very detail-oriented and encompasses the ability to function well under client timeline commitments. Job Description:

This individual will be responsible for the review and abstraction of NSQIP registry data from our clients’ medical records to help them ensure compliance with nationally recognized patient care processes and clinical outcomes.

Requirements:

• SCR Certification, successfully completed ASC SCR training
• A minimum of six months of recent/current experience
• NSQIP SCR review/abstraction experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• RHIA, RHIT, LPN/LVR, RN, or BSN preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year experience in one of the following settings: hospital surgery department, surgery clinic, clinical research, or medical records. Clinical chart review and abstraction experience required.
• Ability to build relationships and gain alignment for clinical support; must be able to articulate questions to receive an appropriate level of support from superiors and peers.
• Ability to interact with all members of the surgical team and administrative staff in a professional and courteous manner.
