We have a junior position available for a bright, energetic and motivated developer who likes the challenges and variety of responsibilities offered by a small company. As a software developer at Amphion, you will be working in a fast-paced team environment to create, enhance and maintain our Medical Transcription and Coding applications and platforms and increase the productivity of our home-based coders and transcriptionists. You will be working with our dedicated Development and Software Quality Assurance teams to ensure that the resulting products form complete, high quality, high availability solutions. Help us design, implement and release our next generation products.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Software Engineering or a related field and strong Software Development experience.
Other desired capabilities include:
- Hands-on .NET programming knowledge and a well-rounded background in multiple technologies (e.g., Win32 development, C/C++, C#, VB.NET, Java, HTML, and XML).
- Database development experience using SQL Server 2005/2008 Databases.
- Some knowledge and experience using SDLC processes, including requirement gathering and analysis, design, version control, and testing methodologies.
- Strong experience designing and implementing OO applications
- Experience using scripting languages like Python/PERL
- Experience developing reports under SQL Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Familiarity with SDLC processes and tools for managing and releasing software.
- Experience in a software startup environment is a plus.
- Ability to complete technically challenging projects quickly.
- Creativity, innovation and desire to create high quality applications are a must.
- Demonstrated capability to rapidly absorb new technologies.
- Compliance with confidentiality policies and procedures, HIPAA & HITECH requirements and system security policies and procedures.
